THIS IS THE LARGEST ACADEMIC COMPETITION IN THE DISTRICT. WHEN WE LOOK AT THE UIL LOGISTICS, THESE ARE ALL TIMED EVENTS. STUDENTS ARE GIVEN PROMPTS, WHETHER IT'S A WRITING PROMPT THAT'S PICTURES OR A SENTENCE, AND THEY HAVE 30-45 MINUTES TO WRITE A COMPLETE COMPOSITION. THEY HAVE 10 MINUTES TO TAKE A MENTAL MATH TEST WHERE THEY CAN'T HAVE ANY ERASURES OR SCRATCH OUT. THIS IS A HIGH-STAKES COMPETITION. EACH EVENT HAS OVER 60-70 STUDENTS PARTICIPATING. I'M HERE TO DISCUSS THE DISCIPLINARY ALTERNATIVE EDUCATION PROGRAM WHERE WE IMPROVE BEHAVIOR THROUGH SOCIAL EMOTIONAL LEARNING AND LEVERAGING RESTORATIVE PRACTICES. WE DEFINITELY WANT TO START FIRST BY DEFINING DAEP. WE HEAR THAT ACRONYM AND EDUCATION ALL THE TIME. WE WANT EVERYONE TO KNOW WHAT IT IS. DAEP IS AN ALTERNATIVE EDUCATION PLACEMENT FOR STUDENTS WHO HAVE VIOLATED A DISTRICT'S CODE OF CONDUCT. THERE ARE TWO TYPES OF PLACEMENT, SOME ARE MANDATORY AND SOME ARE DISCRETIONARY, AND THOSE ARE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE CHAPTER 37 OF THE TEXAS EDUCATION CODE. THE WAY THE STUDENTS ARE PLACED AT DAEP IS THROUGH A CAMPUS ADMINISTRATION TEAM MEMBER REFERS THE STUDENTS TO DAEP FOR A VIOLATION. A DUE PROCESS HEARING IS CONDUCTED AND IT'S FACILITATED BY AN UNBIASED ADMINISTRATOR, TYPICALLY FROM ANOTHER CAMPUS. THEY HEAR THE FACTS, AND THEY MAKE A PLACEMENT DECISION WITHIN THREE DAYS OF THE HEARING, AND THEY NOTIFY PARENTS. OUR DAEP PLACEMENTS ARE SERVED AT THE CROWLEY LEARNING CENTER. THEY'RE TYPICALLY PLACED IN DAEP FROM DAYS RANGING FROM AS LOW AS 10 DAYS UP TO 60 DAYS, AND OUR AVERAGE DAEP PLACEMENT IS ABOUT 15 DAYS LONG. THE DAYS ARE DETERMINED IN ACCORDANCE WITH OUR CROWLEY ISD DISCIPLINE MATRIX. THE STUDENT'S PRIOR DISCIPLINE HISTORY IS TAKEN INTO CONSIDERATION, AS WELL AS THE HEARING OFFICER AND THE FACTS OF THE INCIDENT MAKES THAT FINAL DETERMINATION, WHETHER TO ACCEPT OR DENY THE PLACEMENT RECOMMENDATION FROM THE CAMPUS ADMIN. IN LINE WITH THE DISTRICT'S VISION 2030, THE WORK AT DAEP IS STRATEGIC AND MEETS ALL FOUR BOARD GOALS. FIRST GOAL IS THRIVING STUDENTS. OUR STUDENTS ARE RECEIVING SOCIAL AND EMOTIONAL LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES THROUGH COUNSEL LEADS, SMALL GROUP SUPPORTS, WHICH AIMS TO EQUIP AND BUILD STUDENTS CAPACITY AND SKILLS SO THEY CAN RETURN BACK TO THEIR CAMPUS BETTER THAN WHEN THEY CAME TO DAEP. WE ENGAGE OUR COMMUNITY. STUDENTS AND THEIR FAMILIES ARE PROVIDED OPPORTUNITIES TO PROVIDE THEM WITH SUPPORTS AND RESOURCES THAT WILL IMPACT THE STUDENT AND THE FAMILY BEYOND THE PLACEMENT TERM. TEACHERS AND STAFF ARE EMPOWERED AT DAEP. THEY GO THROUGH MEANINGFUL PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT SUCH AS DE-ESCALATION TECHNIQUES, CONFLICT MANAGEMENT, AND TRAUMA INFORMED PRACTICES, IT MEETS THE IMMEDIATE AND UNIQUE NEEDS OF THOSE STUDENTS THAT ARE PLACED IN DAEP. FINALLY, WE MAKE SURE THAT WE HAVE A SAFE AND HEALTHY ENVIRONMENT. WHEN A STUDENT MAKES A MISTAKE AND DISRUPTS THE HOME CAMPUS ENVIRONMENT IN THEIR PLACING DAEP, THEY RECEIVE SUPPORTS TO RETURN AND REINTEGRATE SUCCESSFULLY BACK TO THEIR HOME CAMPUS. [01:10:06] DAEP SUPPORTS ARE IN LINE WITH OUR DISTRICT'S 4P STUDENT MANAGEMENT SYSTEM. ALL OF OUR SUPPORTS ARE POSITIVE BEHAVIOR SYSTEMS, WHICH EMPHASIZES PROACTIVE TEACHING, REINFORCEMENT OF POSITIVE BEHAVIORS, RATHER THAN RELYING SOLELY ON A PUNISHMENT SYSTEM. WE WANT FAMILIES TO SEE DAEP IS NOT LIKE A PRISON TERM OR JUST PUNITIVE, WE WANT THEM TO SEE IT AS A LEARNING OPPORTUNITY TO ADDRESS THE MALADAPTIVE BEHAVIORS. WE HAVE PRESCRIPTIVE SYSTEMS THAT ARE DESIGNED TO MEET THOSE INDIVIDUAL AND COLLECTIVE NEEDS OF ALL STUDENTS IN A FAIR AND CONSISTENT MANNER. THEN WE HAVE SYSTEMS THAT ARE PROACTIVE AND PREVENTATIVE DESIGNED BASED ON PREDICTIVE DATA THAT WE HAVE SEEN TO ANTICIPATE AND PREVENT PROBLEMS BEFORE THEY OCCUR RATHER THAN TO REACT TO THEM AFTER THEY ARISE. THIS EMPHASIZES IDENTIFYING POTENTIAL RISK AND IMPLEMENTING INTENTIONAL STRATEGIES TO MITIGATE THOSE BEHAVIORS IN THE FUTURE. THEN FINALLY, WHEN PUNITIVE SYSTEMS HAVE TO BE APPLIED, WE WANT TO MAKE SURE THAT IT'S DONE IN A FAIR AND CONSISTENT MANNER AND THE CONSEQUENCES ARE APPLIED BASED ON A PROGRESSIVE DISCIPLINE PHILOSOPHY, AS WELL AS RESTORATIVE PRACTICES. WE WANTED TO PROVIDE YOU WITH SOME DAEP PLACEMENT DATA. JUST TO PUT IT ALL INTO PERSPECTIVE. GOING BACK TO SCHOOL YEAR 2018 '19, YOU SEE ON THE LEFT, THERE IS AN ENROLLMENT, AND THEN THE PERCENT OF DAEP PLACEMENTS OF OUR STUDENTS. THIS YEAR, ONLY 2.5% OF OUR TOTAL POPULATION RECEIVED A DAEP PLACEMENT. THE DAEP PLACEMENT REALLY HOVERS AROUND 1-2% OF OUR ENTIRE ENROLLMENT OF CROWLEY ISD, WITH THE EXCEPTION, WHICH IS AN OUTLIER OF THAT SPIKE IN 2022. DAEP PLACEMENT BY THE NUMBERS. AS YOU CAN SEE, AGAIN, GOING BACK FROM FISCAL YEAR 2018 '19, THIS YEAR, WE RECEIVED 421 DAEP PLACEMENTS, AGAIN, DUE TO DIFFERENT TRAUMA THAT ARISE AROUND THE PANDEMIC, WE SAW A SPIKE THAT WAS OUTLIER FROM OUR PREVIOUS YEARS. WE AGAIN HOVER AROUND 1-2% OF OUR TOTAL POPULATION THAT RECEIVES A DAEP PLACEMENT. SPEAKING OF RECIDIVISM, MEANING THOSE STUDENTS THAT GO TO DAEP AND HAVE TO RETURN. IN THIS SCHOOL YEAR, WE HAVE 421 DAEP PLACEMENTS WITH ONLY AN 11% RECIDIVISM RATE. OF THOSE 421 STUDENTS, ONLY 48 STUDENTS HAD TO RETURN TO SERVE ANOTHER TERM. TWENTY-SIX OF THOSE STUDENTS WERE HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS, 16 BEING MIDDLE SCHOOL STUDENTS, AND SIX OF THOSE STUDENTS WERE ELEMENTARY. NEARLY 90% OF OUR STUDENTS THAT WERE PLACED IN DAEP WERE ABLE TO TRANSITION BACK TO THEIR CAMPUS SUCCESSFULLY WITH NO OTHER DAEP PLACEMENTS. OUR DATA TRENDS. THE TOP TWO CATEGORIES OF DAEP PLACEMENTS. AGAIN, LIKE I SAID EARLIER, THERE ARE TWO TYPES OF PLACEMENTS THAT THE STATE ALLOWS US TO MAKE DISCRETIONARY AND MANDATORY, AND THE MAJORITY OF OUR PLACEMENTS ARE MANDATORY. WE HAVE NO CHOICE BUT TO PUT THEM IN DAEP. WE REALLY WORK HARD AT THE HOME CAMPUS TO WORK WITH OUR STUDENTS SO THAT THEY'RE NOT RECEIVING THOSE PUNISHMENTS. THIS JUST OUTLINES THAT THE DISCRETIONARY PLACEMENTS THAT WE SEE THE AT DAEP ARE MUTUAL COMBAT, WHICH ARE FIGHTS. THE STUDENTS GO THROUGH A HEARING AND THEY COULD BE PLACED IN DAEP. MANDATORY PLACEMENTS INCLUDE ASSAULTS, TERRORISTIC THREAT, AND VAPES WITH OR WITHOUT THC. AGAIN, THAT IS THE NEW OFFENSE CODE PLACED BY THE LEGISLATION IN TEXAS IN 2023 OR 2024. AT THIS TIME, I WOULD LIKE TO TURN IT OVER TO MR. HARRIS, THE PRINCIPAL OF CROWLEY LEARNING CENTER AND HE'S GOING TO TALK ABOUT THE PROGRAMS AND THE SUPPORT THAT STUDENTS RECEIVE WHILE IN THE DAEP PLACEMENT PROGRAM. >> THANK YOU, MA'AM. GOOD EVENING AGAIN, DISTINGUISHED BOARD, DOCTOR MCFARLAND. WE JUST WANT TO BASED OFF OF THE INFORMATION THAT WAS SHARED BY MISS BUCK HALTON AS FAR AS TO WHAT LEADS A KID TO DAEP. WE WANT TO SAY WHAT WE DO ONCE THEY GET THERE. WE ACTUALLY HAVE AN INTENSE COUNSELING PROGRAM THAT WE ACTUALLY ALLOW STUDENTS TO EXPERIENCE WEEKLY, SMALL, AND INDIVIDUAL COUNSELING. WE ALSO CHALLENGE STUDENTS AND ALSO DIRECT STUDENTS IN PARTICIPATING IN COMMUNITY SERVICE ACTIVITIES, WHICH ALLOWS THEM TO BE ABLE TO BE BETTER COMMUNICATORS AND ALSO HAVE MORE POSITIVE INTERACTIONS WITH THE COMMUNITY IN THE REAL WORLD. [01:15:03] BECAUSE AFTER THEY LEAVE US, WE ARE TRYING TO PREPARE THEM FOR THE REAL WORLD. WE ALWAYS MAKE THOSE COMPARISONS AS FAR AS STUDENTS THAT ARE EMPLOYED, OFTENTIMES IN HIGH SCHOOL, AND THE SUCCESS AS FAR AS BEHAVIOR THAT THEY HAVE ON THEIR JOBS. THEREFORE, WE WANT TO MAKE SURE THAT WE'RE COACHING THEM TO SEE THE SAME TYPE OF BEHAVIOR IN SCHOOL AS THEY HAVE SUCCESS ON THEIR JOBS. WE ALSO HAVE OUTSIDE SERVICE PROVIDERS THAT ARE OUR COUNSELOR AND ALSO CIS SOCIAL WORKER WORKING PARTNERSHIP TO ACTUALLY BRING TO OUR CAMPUS. ONE COMMUNITY SERVICE PARTNER IS RECOVERY RESOURCE OF FORT WORTH. THIS COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIPS FOCUSES ON JUST SOCIAL EMOTIONAL SUPPORTS FOR MAINLY OUR SECONDARY HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS, AND ALSO WE ALSO HAVE ANOTHER COMMUNITY SERVICE PARTNER CALLED PROJECT AIM COMMUNITY, TARGETS OUR ELEMENTARY STUDENTS AND MIDDLE SCHOOL STUDENTS AS WELL FIVE THROUGH EIGHT. THESE TWO COMMUNITY SERVICE PARTNERS EFFORTS, THEY ACTUALLY FOCUS ON TOPICS SUCH AS ANGER MANAGEMENT COUNSELING. THEY ACTUALLY DO ACTIVITIES AS FAR AS SELF REFLECTION. VISION BOARDS TO ACTUALLY ALLOW STUDENTS TO BE ABLE TO REFLECT ON WHY THEY'RE THERE WITH US, AND ALSO TO REINTEGRATE WITH THE PLAN AND ALSO DO GOAL SETTING AND ACTUALLY SETTING SMART GOALS. THEREFORE, THEY'RE LESS SUSCEPTIBLE TO ACTUALLY REPEATING THE BEHAVIOR THAT ACTUALLY BROUGHT THEM THERE. ALSO, WE DO FIND THAT A LOT OF OUR STUDENTS AND ALSO PARENTS REACH OUT TO US FOR MENTAL HEALTH COUNSELING. THEREFORE, OUR COMMUNITY PARTNER THROUGH CIS, AND ALSO THOSE OTHER RESOURCES, AS WELL AS OUR COUNSELORS LIKE TO CONNECT STUDENTS AND PARENTS WITH OUTSIDE COUNSELING RESOURCES TO MAKE SURE THAT WE'RE ADDRESSING THE MENTAL HEALTH NEEDS THAT MANY OF OUR STUDENTS SUFFER WITH ON A DAILY BASIS. WE ALSO ARE VERY PROUD THIS YEAR TO IMPLEMENT SOMETHING CALLED THE BACK ON TRACK PROGRAM. THIS PROGRAM IS PRETTY MUCH TO INCENTIVIZE STUDENTS THROUGH WORK EFFORTS TO ACTUALLY BE ABLE TO GET BACK TO THEIR CAMPUS IN I GUESS A QUICKER MANNER, WHERE THEY ACTUALLY SERVE LESS DAYS ON OUR CAMPUS DEPENDING ON THE LENGTH OF TIME THAT THEY WERE ACTUALLY PLACED WITH US. THE GOAL OF THIS PROGRAM IS TO PROVIDE RESTORATIVE DISCIPLINE PRACTICES TO ADDRESS THE UNDERLYING CAUSES THAT OUR STUDENTS HAVE WITH DISCIPLINARY CHALLENGES, INCLUDING SOCIO EMOTIONAL BEHAVIOR AND MENTAL HEALTH FOCUSES. THE MODEL OF THE BACK ON TRACK PROGRAM CONSISTS OF FOUR COMPONENTS. WE ADDRESS SOCIAL EMOTIONAL LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES. WE ALSO ADDRESS COMMUNITY SERVICE, OPPORTUNITIES, POSITIVE BEHAVIOR ENGAGEMENT, AND ALSO LOOKING TO OVERALL BETTER THE STUDENTS ATTENDANCE WHILE ACTUALLY ATTENDING CLC, AS WELL AS WHICH HELPS CISD DOING THEIR TIME WITH US. THE DATA HIGHLIGHT, I WOULD LIKE TO PARTICULARLY POINT OUT AS WE STARTED THIS PROGRAM BACK MID YEAR OF DECEMBER 2024, AND WE'VE SEEN 34% OF OUR STUDENTS BE ABLE TO EARN THE BENEFITS OF THIS PARTICULAR PROGRAM KNOWN AS BACK ON TRACK. WHAT SUCCESS WOULD THIS PROGRAM BE WITHOUT PARENT ACCOUNTABILITY? WE WANT TO ALSO BUILD THIS PROGRAM ABOUT ALLOWING PARENTS TO ALSO ENGAGE IN ACTIVITIES THAT BETTER EQUIPS THEM AS THEY ACTUALLY DEAL WITH THE IMPROVEMENT OF THEIR CHILD GOING BACK INTO THEIR HOME CAMPUS. PRETTY MUCH, WE HAVE SOMETHING CALLED A DUE PROCESS HEARING THAT HERE'S THE FACTS OF THE INCIDENT LEADING TO THE PLACEMENT AND RECOMMENDATION. IN THAT PROCESS, THEY LOOK AT OVERALL STUDENT DISCIPLINE. ALSO, THIS TIME IS GIVEN WHERE PARENTS AND PRINCIPALS AND STUDENTS, OR HEARING OFFICERS ARE ABLE TO PROVIDE INPUT TO ADMIN ON POSSIBLE ROOT CAUSES, AND ALSO DURING THIS PROCESS, THEY'RE ABLE TO LEARN ABOUT SUPPORTS AND RESOURCES TO MITIGATE FURTHER FUTURE UNDESIRABLE BEHAVIORS. ONCE THEY GET TO DAEP, PARENTS ALSO PARTICIPATE IN AN ENTRY ORIENTATION TO LEARN ABOUT THE EXPECTATIONS FOR THEIR STUDENTS WHILE PARTICIPATING IN THE DAEP PROGRAM. SOME OF THE THINGS THAT WE MAINLY FOCUS ON AS WELL IS LETTING PARENTS KNOW THAT NOW THAT YOUR STUDENT IS HERE AT DAEP, WE OFFER CONFLICT RESOLUTION, PROTOCOLS FOR OUR STUDENTS, ESPECIALLY OUR MUTUAL COMBAT STUDENTS, AND ALSO MEDIATION MEETINGS FOR PARENTS OF BOTH SIDES OF THE STUDENTS THAT AGREE TO THIS PARTICULAR EVENT TO THEREFORE NOT HAVE THE STUDENTS REPEAT THIS BEHAVIOR ONCE THEY GO BACK TO THE CAMPUS THAT CAUSED THEM TO BE THERE. ALSO, AT THE END, ONCE STUDENTS ACTUALLY FINISH THEIR DAYS WITH US, WE HAVE A PROCESS KNOWN AS THE TRANSITION MEETING THAT [01:20:01] HAPPENS FIVE DAYS PRIOR TO THE STUDENT RETURNING TO THEIR HOME CAMPUS. DURING THIS TIME IN THE TRANSITION MEETING, PARENTS ARE REQUIRED TO ATTEND THIS MEETING AND ASKED TO ATTEND THIS MEETING TO PROVIDE INPUT ON THEIR STUDENTS TRANSITION PROCESS BACK TO THEIR HOME CAMPUS, IN WHICH WE HAVE OUR HOME CAMPUS COUNSELOR PRESENT, AS WELL AS THE HOME CAMPUS COUNSELOR PRESENT IN ORDER TO MAKE A PLAN AND DEVELOP A PLAN AND UNDERSTAND WHAT SMART GOALS ARE IN PLACE FOR THE STUDENT TO REINTEGRATE INTO THEIR HOME CAMPUS TO BE SUCCESSFUL AND NOT BE LIKELY TO ATTEND DAEP ONCE MORE. IN THE STUDENT CISD BACK ON TRACK PROGRAM, PARENTS TAKE STUDENTS TO COMMUNITY EVENT LOCATIONS. PARENTS MAY ALSO PARTICIPATE IN SEL ACTIVITIES TO INCREASE THE NUMBER OF DAYS REDUCED. ONE OF THE BIG THINGS THAT WE'RE EAGER TO SAY THAT IS WE HAVE OVER 100 CERTIFICATES EARNED IN OUR VA FREE CROWLEY ISD PROGRAM. THIS IS WHERE STUDENTS AND PARENTS GO THROUGH MODULES ONLINE AT THEIR OWN PACE ON VAPING, EDUCATION TO FURTHER REDUCE PLACEMENT DAYS FOR STUDENTS THAT ARE ACTUALLY BEING PLACED AT CLC FOR VAPING. WE ALSO HAD THE OPPORTUNITY THIS YEAR TO HAVE OUR STUDENTS PARTICIPATE, AS WELL AS PARENTS IN A THREE DAY YES SUMMIT, STUDENT ENGAGEMENT, YOUTH ENGAGEMENT SUMMIT, WHICH ALSO ALLOWED TWO DAYS FOR PARENTS TO PARTICIPATE, AS WELL AS TO EDUCATE PARENTS AND STUDENTS ON RECEIVING PLACEMENT DAY REDUCTION BY THEIR PARTICIPATION IN THIS LEARNING EXPERIENCE THAT MAINLY FOCUSED ON CLC. ALSO, WE HAVE AN ONLINE PROGRAM THAT WE HAVE STUDENTS WORK ON, WHICH ALSO HAVE ONLINE EVENTS FOR PARENTS AND STUDENTS TO ATTEND KNOWN AS ADVISING GEN Z. WE LOOK AT STUDENT DISCIPLINE AREAS THAT THEY ACTUALLY ARE PLACED WITH US AT CROWLEY LEARNING CENTER. WHEN WE DID THE FIRST PILOT WITH THE YOUTH ENGAGEMENT SUMMIT THROUGH A SMALL GRANT THAT WE RECEIVED FROM UNITED WAY, WE PUT ON A THREE DAY SUMMIT AND WE REQUIRED THE PARENTS TO WE DID A FIELD TRIP FOR THE KIDS ON DAY 2, BUT ON DAYS 1 AND 3, WE HAD THE PARENTS TO ATTEND AND WE HAD NOT ONLY PARENTS THAT WERE ALREADY AT DAP, WE HAD KIDS THAT WERE IN THE PIPELINE. WE'VE HAD A LOT OF PARTICIPATION FROM THE PARENTS IN IT. AGAIN, ALSO A SAFETY AND SECURITY ALLOTMENT, THERE IS SOME CONVERSATION ABOUT ADDITIONAL FUNDS FOR THAT. WE'LL BE STAYING IN ALIGNMENT WITH THOSE PRINCIPLES. WE ALSO WANT TO MAKE SURE THAT AS WE ARE IDENTIFYING PROJECTS IN THE DISTRICT, WE'RE SPENDING MONEY IN THE AREAS THAT ARE CLOSEST TO THE CLASSROOM. YOU HEARD MR. REEVES EARLIER TALK ABOUT THE FACT THAT WE'LL HAVE THESE INTERACTIVE DISPLAY BOARDS IN EVERY CLASSROOM IN THE DISTRICT. WE'RE IN THE PROCESS OF INSTALLING THOSE, WE'LL START AT THE MIDDLE SCHOOLS, BUT THEY'LL BE IN EVERY CLASSROOM IN THE DISTRICT. THAT WAS VERY INTENTIONAL BECAUSE WE WANT TO SPEND ADDITIONAL FUNDS THAT WE HAVE IN THE CLASSROOM WITH THE TEACHERS SO THAT WE CAN MAKE SURE IT HAS THE BIGGEST BANG FOR OUR BUCK. THEN THE OTHER OTHER PRINCIPLE DEALS WITH OUR FUND BALANCE. WE ALL KNOW THAT OUR FUND BALANCE IS USED IN CASE WE HAVE UNFORESEEN INCIDENTS OR UNFORESEEN CIRCUMSTANCES. WE ALWAYS WANT TO PROTECT OUR FUND BALANCE FOR A RAINY DAY. THAT'S WHY BOARD, YOU'VE SET A RANGE FOR US TO BE IN ON OUR FUND BALANCE BETWEEN 18-21%, WHICH GIVES US ABOUT THREE MONTHS. WE'VE STAYED TRUE TO THAT AND THAT'S WE FEEL LIKE WE WILL BE ABLE TO ACTUALLY EXCEED THAT NUMBER THIS YEAR BASED ON THE DECISIONS YOU ALL MADE AND BASED ON WHAT WE'VE MADE UP TO THIS POINT. WE FEEL GOOD ABOUT OUR FUND BALANCE, AND WE ALSO WANT TO MAKE SURE THAT KIDS WHO ARE IN OUR SCHOOLS TODAY AND ALSO PARENTS AND FAMILIES WHO ARE LIVING IN OUR COMMUNITIES RIGHT NOW, HAVE THE BENEFIT OF ANY KIND OF ADDITIONAL FUNDS THAT WE HAVE TODAY. IF THERE ARE NEEDS THAT WE HAVE, WE WANT TO MAKE SURE WE'RE ADDRESSING THEM. WE ARE IN THE PROCESS OF LOOKING AT, FOR EXAMPLE, WE'RE IN THE PROCESS OF REVIEWING UNIFORMS WITH OUR BAND, WITH OUR ATHLETIC PROGRAMS, WITH OUR CHOIR AND OTHER THINGS BECAUSE WE WANT TO MAKE SURE THAT IF WE HAVE FUNDS IN OUR FUND BALANCE THAT ARE ABOVE AND BEYOND OUR TARGET, WE'RE USING THEM FOR STUDENTS WHO NEED THEM TODAY. WE'LL BE FOLLOWING THOSE SIX PRINCIPLES AS WE LAY OUT OUR BUDGET. WHAT WE DO KNOW THOUGH, IS THAT WE DID RECEIVE NOTIFICATION THAT WE HAVE NOW RECEIVED THE LAST AMOUNT OF THE BOND FUNDS THAT WAS AUTHORIZED SO FOR EXAMPLE, WE HAD $1.04 BILLION THAT WE APPROVED BY THE VOTER. UP TO NOW, WE HAVE ACTUALLY RECEIVED ABOUT 700 MILLION, AND WE HAVE RECEIVED IT, IT'S IN OUR FUND.
