TO AGENDA ITEM 2.0, CELEBRATIONS AND POINTS OF PRIDE.WE WANT TO RECOGNIZE SOPHOMORE SAMIA AUGUST, I HOPE I'M PRONOUNCING HER NAME CORRECTLY, AND JUNIOR KAYLA FRANKLIN FROM THE NORTH CROWLEY HIGH SCHOOL DEBATE TEAM.
THE DUO RECENTLY WENT HEAD-TO-HEAD WITH MANSFIELD LEGACY, THE REIGNING STATE CHAMPIONS IN THE LINCOLN-DOUGLAS DEBATE AT THE DISTRICT COMPETITION FOR CROSS-EXAMINATION.
AND ALTHOUGH THEY DIDN'T ADVANCE, THE PANTHERS HELD THEIR OWN.
THEY COMPETED WITH CONFIDENCE AND EARNED A TON OF GENUINE RESPECT AND COMPLIMENTS FROM JUDGES AND COMPETITORS ALIKE.
THIS IS THE FIRST TIME NORTH CROWLEY HAS FIELDED A CROSS-EXAMINATION DEBATE TEAM IN MANY YEARS.
AND IN THEIR FIRST YEAR BACK, THEY FACED ELITE COMPETITION AND PROVED THEY BELONG IN THE CONVERSATION.
AND THAT DOESN'T HAPPEN BY ACCIDENT.
IT HAPPENS BECAUSE OF GRIT, PREPARATION, AND STUDENTS WILLING TO STEP INTO SOMETHING NEW AND UNCOMFORTABLE.
WE'RE EXCITED TO SEE THIS PROGRAM GROW.
WE KNOW THEY'LL BE BACK, AND WE KNOW THEY'LL WIN.

ALL-STATE BAND AND WILL PERFORM THIS SATURDAY DURING THE 2026 TEXAS MUSIC EDUCATORS ASSOCIATION CLINIC CONVENTION IN SAN ANTONIO.SADRICK IS A FOUR-YEAR MEMBER OF THE MIGHTY EAGLE BAND, SERVING AS PRINCIPAL CLARINET IN WIND ENSEMBLE, TENOR SAXOPHONE AND JAZZ BAND, AND WOODWIND CAPTAIN.
HE HAS ALSO EARNED ALL-REGION HONORS EVERY YEAR IN HIGH SCHOOL AND HAS ADVANCED THREE TIMES TO THE UIL STATE SOLO AND ENSEMBLE COMPETITION.
ALL-STATE IS THE HIGHEST INDIVIDUAL HONOR A TEXAS MUSIC STUDENT CAN ACHIEVE.

NATIONAL SCHOOL COUNSELING WEEK.
ALTHOUGH NATIONAL SCHOOL COUNSELING WEEK WAS LAST WEEK, I WANT TO TAKE A MOMENT TO SAY WE ARE ALL GRATEFUL FOR OUR INCREDIBLE CROWLEY ISD COUNSELORS WHO SUPPORT, ENCOURAGE, AND GUIDE OUR STUDENTS AND FAMILIES EVERY DAY.
WE HAVE MORE THAN 50 COUNSELORS SERVING ACROSS THE DISTRICT, AND THEIR IMPACT IS FELT IN EVERY SCHOOL AND IN EVERY SUCCESS STORY.
TOMORROW, THIS TEAM IS HOSTING THE MIND OVER MEDALS MENTAL HEALTH SUMMIT, BRINGING IN DYNAMIC GUEST SPEAKERS AND OFFERING ANOTHER LINE OF SUPPORT TO OUR STUDENTS' FAMILIES, SERVING AS ANOTHER EXAMPLE OF EXCELLENCE EVERY DAY FROM OUR OUTSTANDING COUNSELORS.

BUT IF YOU DIDN'T CATCH THE EXCITEMENT ON SOCIAL MEDIA YESTERDAY, CROWLEY ISD SURPRISED AND CELEBRATED 60 TEACHERS DESIGNATED THROUGH THE STATE'S TEACHER INCENTIVE ALLOTMENT, INCLUDING EIGHT TEACHERS, INCLUDING EIGHT TEACHERS WHO ARE ADVANCING TO A HIGHER DESIGNATION.
WE NOW HAVE 161 TEACHERS DESIGNATED THROUGH TIA, A DIRECT REFLECTION OF THE POWERFUL IMPACT OUR EDUCATORS MAKE EVERY DAY IN OUR CLASSROOMS. THIS INVESTMENT CELEBRATES INSTRUCTIONAL EXCELLENCE AND REINFORCES OUR COMMITMENT TO RECRUITING, RETAINING, AND REWARDING HIGHLY EFFECTIVE EDUCATORS.

SO, JUST AN OVERVIEW, WE'VE BEEN WORKING ON THESE TARGETED IMPROVEMENT PLANS AND GIVING YOU A BEHIND-THE-SCENES GLIMPSE AT THE WORK THAT WE'RE DOING.
JUST WANTED TO WRAP UP THE PROCESS, BECAUSE I TOLD YOU THIS IS A YEAR-LONG PROCESS.
SO IT STARTED BACK IN AUGUST AND SEPTEMBER.
ONCE ACCOUNTABILITY RATINGS BECAME PUBLIC, THE CAMPUSES IDENTIFIED FOR SUPPORT WERE MADE ā WERE PUBLISHED.
SO WE STARTED THE DIAGNOSTIC REVIEW AND PLAN DEVELOPMENT AT THAT TIME.
LIKE I SAID, WE HAD TO SUBMIT OUR PLANS ā OUR DRAFT PLANS TO TEA IN NOVEMBER OF THIS PAST YEAR.
WE HAVE BEEN PROVIDING COACHING AND IMPLEMENTATION SUPPORT THROUGHOUT, AND PERIODIC PERFORMANCE CHECKS, LIKE WE'VE TALKED ABOUT THROUGHOUT.
IN THE FALL, BACK IN OCTOBER AND NOVEMBER, WE HAD OUR FIRST WALKS WHERE REPRESENTATIVES FROM THE REGIONAL SERVICE CENTER, REGION 11, AS WELL AS TEA CAME TO CROWLEY CAMPUSES, THE CAMPUSES THAT WE'RE TALKING ABOUT.
WE CONDUCTED SITE VISIT WALKS WHERE WE ACTUALLY WENT INTO CLASSROOMS AND USED AN EVALUATIVE TOOL TO DETERMINE WHAT WAS GOING WELL WITH OUR IMPROVEMENT EFFORTS AND WHAT WE STILL NEEDED TO WORK ON.
WE DID THAT, LIKE I SAID, IN OCTOBER AND NOVEMBER.
THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTORS AND PRINCIPALS AND TEAMS MADE ADJUSTMENTS IN DECEMBER AND JANUARY BASED ON THAT FEEDBACK.
JUST THIS WEEK ā LAST WEEKEND THIS WEEK, WE HAD SPRING WALKS WITH REGION 11 AND TEA THAT CAME IN TO VISIT OUR CAMPUSES.
JUST THIS PAST ā WEDNESDAY? YES, YESTERDAY.
WE HAD A MEETING WITH TEA AND REGION 11 WHERE WE HAD A DEBRIEF THAT INCLUDED DR.
MCFARLANE WHERE WE TALKED ABOUT THE DATA THAT HAD BEEN GATHERED FROM THE WALKS THROUGHOUT THE DISTRICT.
WE TALKED THEM THROUGH SOME OF OUR PLANS FOR INTERVENING ON SOME OF THE AREAS WHERE WE'VE SEEN THERE'S CONSISTENT OR TRENDS ACROSS OUR CLASSROOMS IN LESSON DELIVERY DEFICITS AND THOSE TYPES OF THINGS.
AND SO WE WILL CONTINUE TO MAKE MODIFICATIONS AND ADJUSTMENTS BASED ON THAT FEEDBACK.
AND THEN THIS RESULTS IN AN END-OF-THE-YEAR EVALUATION THAT COMES FROM THE TEA WITH REGARD TO OUR PLANS.
AND ALL OF THAT IS TIED TO ULTIMATELY OUR CAMPUSES' PERFORMANCE ON STAR THIS YEAR.
SO WE'RE CONTINUING TO WORK TOWARDS IMPROVING THE CAMPUSES' PERFORMANCE ON STAR AND THAT IS THE BIGGEST IMPACT ON THAT EVALUATION IN JUNE.
SO WHAT WE ALL WANT TO KNOW AND WHAT'S MOST IMPORTANT IS HOW DO WE EXIT THE IMPROVEMENT CYCLE.
SO DEPENDING ON THE LEVEL OF IMPROVEMENT THAT A CAMPUS IS IN, THERE'S A DIFFERENCE IN HOW THEY MIGHT EXIT.
SO FOR THOSE CAMPUSES THAT ARE TARGETED OR ADDITIONAL TARGETED SUPPORT, THEY HAVE TO MEET THE TARGETS FOR THOSE IDENTIFIED GROUPS.
IF YOU'RE JUST TARGETED FOR ONE GROUP, YOU MEET THE TARGET FOR THAT GROUP, YOU COME OUT OF SCHOOL IMPROVEMENT IF YOU'RE TARGETED.
IF YOU'RE ADDITIONAL TARGETED SUPPORT, THAT MEANS YOU HAVE AT LEAST ONE GROUP AND THEN A GROUP THAT'S PERFORMING IN THAT BOTTOM OF YOUR COMPARISON GROUP.
SO YOU HAVE TO BRING YOUR GROUPS OUT TO GET BACK TO TARGETED, THEN YOU HAVE TO SUSTAIN THAT FOR ANOTHER YEAR TO COME FULLY OUT OF SCHOOL IMPROVEMENT.
AND FOR CAMPUSES THAT ARE COMPREHENSIVE SUPPORT, THEY HAVE TO IMPROVE THEIR RATING.
SO YOU CANNOT HAVE A D OR AN F AND COME OUT OF COMPREHENSIVE SUPPORT.
YOU HAVE TO IMPROVE YOUR RATING TO AT LEAST A C TO COME OUT.
SO THOSE ARE OUR GOALS AND OUR TARGETS FOR OUR CAMPUSES AND WE'LL CONTINUE TO WORK TOWARDS THAT END.
THE NEXT STEPS IN THIS ARE, THIS ITEM WILL COME BACK TO YOU AT THE FULL BOARD MEETING AT THE END OF THE MONTH, POTENTIALLY ON CONSENT FOR APPROVAL.
WE WILL CONTINUE AS A DISTRICT TO MONITOR AND SUPPORT WORKING WITH OUR REGIONAL SERVICE CENTER AS WELL AS OUR TEA ASSIGNED PARTNER.

SO WE WALKED THROUGH TOGETHER TO LOOK AT OUR CLASSROOMS HOLISTICALLY IN CROWLEY ISD TO SEE WHERE WE'RE DOING REALLY WELL WITH SOME OF THE THINGS THAT ARE ON THAT AGNOSTIC RUBRIC AND WHERE THERE ARE AREAS FOR GROWTH.
AND WHAT WE FOUND IN THE DEBRIEF YESTERDAY WAS OUR INTERNAL WALKTHROUGHS FOR CROWLEY ISD, WE HAD ALREADY IDENTIFIED THE THINGS THAT THEY IDENTIFIED IN THEIR WALK, IN OUR OWN INTERNAL WALKS, SO MUCH SO THAT OUR DISTRICT LEADERSHIP ACADEMY, THAT IS TOMORROW, WE HAD ALREADY PLANNED FOR PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT FOR OUR TEACHERS TO ADDRESS SOME OF THE THINGS THAT THEY IDENTIFIED YESTERDAY.
