SO I TOOK MY FATHER IN LAW OVER TO THE CTE CENTER AND THE AUTOMOTIVE DEPARTMENT.

THE KIDS PULLED THE WHEELS. THE INSTRUCTOR TEACHER LOOKED AT IT AND SAID, WITH Y'ALL'S ASSESSMENT.

THEY SAID HE NEEDS A BRAKE JOB. WELL, MY FATHER IN LAW WAS GETTING QUOTES OF ABOUT $1,000 FOR ALL FOUR TIRES.

THEY QUOTED HIM ABOUT $350, AND THEY'LL HAVE IT DONE IN TWO DAYS WITH A PROFESSIONAL, AND THE STUDENTS GET TO DO A BRAKE JOB.

THIS MARKS THE THIRD CONSECUTIVE YEAR OF THE CMS PANTHER BAND TO EARN SWEEPSTAKES AT THIS EVENT.

YOUR HARD WORK AND CONSISTENCY PAID OFF AND WE ARE VERY PROUD OF YOU.

ABILITY GAMES. CROWLEY ISD'S SPECIAL EDUCATION MIDDLE SCHOOL STUDENTS AT AN AMAZING DAY OF DANCING AND PLAYING GAMES AT THE DISTRICT'S ABILITY GAMES LAST THURSDAY. THE EVENT WAS FILLED WITH MUSIC, FOOD AND FESTIVITIES AND HOSTED ON THE FIELD AT CROWLEY ISD MULTI-PURPOSE STADIUM. THE FUN CONTINUES AS THE ELEMENTARY SECTION OF THE ABILITY GAMES IS SCHEDULED FOR THIS FRIDAY.

I AM THE RECENTLY ELECTED STUDENT BODY PRESIDENT OF CROWLEY HIGH SCHOOL.

WHAT YOU SOON WILL BE LOOKING AT AFTER BEING PASSED OUT BY MR. KIRCHNER IS A CLASS PROPOSAL REGARDING EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES THROUGH THE LONG LEGAL PATHWAY AT BILL R JOHNSON CTE CENTER AND IS REFERRED TO AND CALLED AS A CTSO.

IN THIS PROPOSAL ITSELF, YOU WILL FIND A CLASS BUDGETING, A CLASS OVERVIEW, WHAT IT WOULD LOOK LIKE TO BE RECOGNIZED ON AN INSTITUTIONAL LEVEL, WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE IN TERMS OF RESPONSIBILITY FOR TEACHERS, STAFF, AND STUDENTS ALIKE IN OUR ENTIRE COMPETITIVE HISTORY.

I HAVE COME BEFORE YOU TODAY WITH THE PURPOSE OF WANTING TO MOVE WITH DIGNITY ON BEHALF OF BOTH MYSELF, MY TEAMMATES, MY CLASSMATES AND MY TEACHERS ALIKE.

THE CTSOS AND THE LAW AND LEGAL PATHWAY HAVE HAD A HARD TIME FINDING A WAY TO PRACTICE, TO BE ABLE TO COMPETE AT THE SAME LEVEL THAT MANY OTHER SPORTS AND OTHER GROUPS SUCH AS BAND, FOOTBALL, BASKETBALL, MAYBE EVEN SOCCER ARE ABLE TO ATTAIN.

THE CTSOS IN THE LEGAL PATHWAY INCLUDE THINGS LIKE TPSA, WHICH INCLUDES SWAT, FINGERPRINT LIFTING AND OTHER FORMS OF LAW ENFORCEMENT MOCK TRIAL AND OTHER FORMS OF GOVERNMENT SUCH AS STATE AFFAIRS, LEGISLATIVE AND AS WELL AS CABINET MEETINGS.

ALL THESE THINGS ARE A BIT DIFFICULT TO ATTAIN AND TO BE ABLE TO COMPETE AT A HIGH LEVEL TO THINGS LIKE WORK, HOMEWORK, SCHOOL, AND EVEN RELIGIOUS PRACTICES AND GATHERINGS LIKE CHURCH.

AND THE WAY I BELIEVE THAT WE COULD BE ABLE TO WORK AROUND THIS IS THROUGH YOU GUYS' SUPPORT, TO BE ABLE TO MAKE SOMETHING LIKE THIS COME TO FRUITION AN ELECTIVE A CLASS LAW AND LEGAL FOR CROWLEY ISD.

NOW THIS. NOW I'M NOT UNREASONABLE. I BELIEVE THAT WITH EVERY PROPOSAL SHOULD COME PROOF OF I SAY SUBSTANCE, SOMETHING THAT SHOWS THAT WE ARE ABLE TO BACK UP WHAT OUR WORD IS. IF YOU COULD TAKE A LOOK AT. IF YOU COULD PASS IT OUT, MR. KIRCHNER, AT THE SECOND TO LAST PAGE OF THE PACKAGE THAT YOU WILL RECEIVE IS OUR FULL COMPETITIVE HISTORY. AND WHAT YOU'LL SEE FROM OUR MOST RECENT YEAR IS WE COMPETED AT THE COUNTY COURT LEVEL, AND IN THAT WE RECEIVED AN AWARD CALLED THE PREMIER DELEGATION, WHICH MEANS THAT AS THE FOREFRONT OF CROWLEY ISD IN FRONT OF THE ENTIRE STATE OF TEXAS, THE YMCA YOUTH AND GOVERNMENT RECOGNIZED US AS A PREMIER DELEGATION, WHICH MEANS THAT WE WERE SEEN AS ONE OF THE BEST DELEGATIONS IN ALL OF TEXAS IN TERMS OF DECORUM, PROFESSIONALISM, AND THE WAY WE DISPLAY OUR DISTRICT.

WHAT YOU WILL ALSO SEE IS INDIVIDUAL ACCOLADES FROM ONE OF OUR COMPETITORS, ANDREW MCMILLAN AS BEING ONE OF THE MOST LEADING TEAM CAPTAINS, AND HE ALSO RECEIVED AN AWARD AND RECOGNITION FROM YMCA YOUTH AND GOVERNMENT.

WE WILL ALSO SEE IS A WHAT'S CALLED A DISTRICT COURT QUALIFICATION.

THAT MEANS THAT YOU HAVE THE ABILITY TO QUALIFY ON THE NATIONAL LEVEL. NOW, WHAT YOU'LL SEE IS THAT IN THE LAST TEN YEARS, WE'VE BEEN ABLE TO MAKE STATE COMPETITION EVERY TIME.

AND OUR ONE OBSTACLE, OUR ONE AND ONLY OBSTACLE, IS THE TIME TO BE ABLE TO PRACTICE, TO REFINE, TO HONE, JUST LIKE EVERY OTHER SPORT CAN. AND I BELIEVE WITH YOUR GUYS' HELP, WITH YOUR SUPPORT, WE CAN MAKE THAT HAPPEN. AND I'M NOT ASKING FOR THE WORLD.

I'M ASKING FOR THE PLATFORM FOR CHANGE, BECAUSE I WANT TO BE ABLE TO GET TO KNOW YOU GUYS, AND I WANT YOU TO KNOW ME. I WANT TO BE ABLE TO SUPPORT WHAT YOU GUYS KNOW MOST.

IT IS A PRIVILEGE TO STAND BEFORE YOU AS WE CELEBRATE THE EXTRAORDINARY TALENT, DISCIPLINE AND ARTISTRY OF OUR HIGH SCHOOL DANCE DEPARTMENTS. TONIGHT, WE HONOR THE DANCERS WHO RECENTLY GRACED THE STAGE AT MAJOR COMPETITIONS LIKE DANCELINE, CROWD PLEASERS AND VARIOUS REGIONAL INVITATIONALS.

THESE AWARDS ARE MORE THAN JUST TROPHIES. EVEN THOUGH THEY HAVE A LOT OF THEM, THERE ARE A REFLECTION OF MONTHS OF GRUELING REHEARSALS, EARLY MORNING PRACTICES, AND UNWAVERING COMMITMENT TO EXCELLENCE INSIDE AND OUTSIDE THE CLASSROOM.

AS WE RECOGNIZE THESE ACHIEVEMENTS, LET'S REMEMBER THE JOURNEY BEHIND EACH PERFORMANCE.

MISS EVANS HAS BEEN HERE. SHE'S A 19 YEAR EDUCATOR.

SHE'S BEEN IN CROWLEY ISD FOR NINE YEARS. OUR FIRST.

BUT AT CROWD PLEASERS, WE HAD OFFICER AWARDS AND WE HAVE TEAM AWARDS.

AND IF YOU'VE NEVER ATTENDED THESE COMPETITIONS, IT'S A GYM FULL OF TEAMS, SOMETIMES 40 SOMETHING, 50 SOMETHING TEAMS, AND THE DANCERS GO OUT AND THEY PERFORM IN MULTIPLE CATEGORIES AND VARIOUS LEVELS OF DANCE.

AND THAT TAKES THEM STUDYING LIKE TRUE FOUNDATION OF DANCE.

SO YOU SEE THEM ON THE, IN THE FOOTBALL GAMES AND THEY'RE DOING A LITTLE HIP SHAKE, BUT WE ALSO CAN TURN AROUND AND DO CONTEMPORARY AND HIP HOP AND MODERN AND BEAUTIFUL CONTEMPORARY MOVEMENT. SO OUR OFFICER AWARDS THAT WE'RE GOING TO CELEBRATE TONIGHT FOR CROWLEY IS OUR FIRST OVERALL OFFICER HIP HOP IS THE, SO THEY ATTENDED TWO COMPETITIONS AND THIS WAS THE FIRST COMPETITION AND THEY RECEIVED THESE AWARDS.

THEY RECEIVED SECOND RUNNER UP FOR OFFICER CONTEMPORARY, SECOND RUNNER UP FOR OFFICER JAZZ.

CROWD PLEASER AWARD, WHICH WAS THERE OFFICER HIP HOP AND THE SECOND RUNNER UP FOR OFFICER GRAND CHAMPION.

THE TEAM AWARDS THEY TOOK HOME OFFICER OVERALL CLASS CLASSIC GRAND CHAMPION.

WHICH IS LIKE THE OVERALL. SO EVEN THOUGH YOU COMPETE IN ALL THESE CATEGORIES, THEY ARE DEEMED GRAND CHAMPION BECAUSE THEY'VE GOTTEN FIRST PLACE.

SO A BUNCH OF STUDENTS CAME TOGETHER AND STARTED ESTABLISHING A NEWSPAPER TO REALLY PUT ON BOARD ALL OF THE SPOTLIGHTS AND ESSENTIALLY BASICALLY ALL OF THE EVENTS GOING ON ON CAMPUS, BECAUSE I KNOW A LOT OF STUDENTS WERE CONFUSED ABOUT WHAT WAS GOING ON ON CAMPUS AND WEREN'T REALLY AWARE. SO THEY TOOK INITIATIVE TO START THIS NEW PRACTICE, AND IT WAS SUPER EXCITING TO SEE THEM BE SUCCESSFUL ON THIS. ADDITIONALLY, WE ARE PROUD TO BE TIED AS THE NUMBER ONE SCHOOL IN TARRANT COUNTY WITH KELLER.

AND WE GAVE THEM SOME TIPS ON HOW TO CONTINUE TO GROW AS LEADERS.

TEACHERS HAVE ACTUALLY LIKE THEIR ATTITUDES HAVE GOTTEN BETTER AND MORE POSITIVE.

THERE'S ALSO BEEN A NEW GOLF CART OUTSIDE TO CHECK SECURITY OUTSIDE THE CAMPUS FOR PEOPLE WHO ARE GOING TO CLASSES IN DIFFERENT AREAS OF THE BUILDING AND AT THE FIELD HOUSE.

I ALSO SEE THIS AS A CELEBRATION BECAUSE USUALLY CROWLEY IS VERY ROWDY IN THE HALLWAYS, BUT THAT HAS NOT BEEN A PROBLEM RECENTLY.

I'VE ALSO NOTICED THAT INSIDE CHECKING IN HAS BEEN VERY, VERY CALM.

WE GIVE THEM OUR BACKPACKS, LET THEM SEE IT WHEN WE GO THROUGH THE SCANNERS. AND WE'VE JUST BEEN DOING EVERYTHING.

IT WAS VERY EXCITING TO SEE. AND LUNCHES WE'VE WATCHED PEOPLE CAMPAIGN IN PERSON AT HOME, ON SOCIAL MEDIA.

THEY'VE POSTED FLIERS. THEY'VE TOLD FRIENDS. THEY'VE SENT THEM AROUND.

I'VE PERSONALLY HELPED MY FRIENDS. JENNY BROWN WAS ONE OF THEM.

WE'VE ALSO SEEN BEAUTIFUL ARTWORK. IT WAS VERY CREATIVE.

AND IT WAS JUST REALLY EXCITING TO SEE. I GOT TO LEARN SO MANY PEOPLE'S NEW PERSONALITIES AND I GOT TO MEET NEW PEOPLE.

I WENT AROUND SCHOOL AND I LIKE CAMPAIGNED FOR PEOPLE THAT I HAVE NEVER MET PRIOR TO THAT WEEK, BUT THEY WERE SO INTRIGUING TO ME. ANOTHER CONSIDERATION I HAVE OR A SOLUTION FOR TONIGHT IS FINE ART SPOTLIGHTS. I FEEL LIKE MY SCHOOL HIGHLY FOCUSES ON ATHLETICS IN OUR FINE ARTS DEPARTMENTS.

CROWLEY HIGH SCHOOL HAS AN INCREDIBLY TALENTED FINE ARTS COMMUNITY MADE UP OF CHOIR, BAND, THEATER, DANCE, AND ART STUDENTS WHO CONSISTENTLY, ACHIEVE GREAT THINGS.

I KNOW THAT MY CHOIR GROUP DOES NOT GET THE REPRESENTATION THAT WE DESERVE.

WE GET MANY WINS. WE DO PERFORMANCES, BUT IT'S VERY MUCH NOT REALLY TALKED ABOUT ON ANNOUNCEMENTS.

THEY MIGHT MENTION US, BUT IT'S VERY BRIEF AND I FEEL LIKE WE NEED MORE DESCRIPTIONS AND WE NEED PEOPLE TO UNDERSTAND WHAT WE REALLY DO.

WE NEED PEOPLE TO HEAR MORE ABOUT WHAT WE DO, HOW WE DO IT, WHEN WE DO IT.

BUT THAT NEVER REALLY HAPPENS. SOCIAL MEDIA, I FEEL LIKE THAT COULD SHOW US MORE.

I THINK THE MAIN ONES I TOOK IS NORTH CROWLEY, CCA, AND ALSO CROWLEY.

I THINK THERE WERE SOME MIDDLE SCHOOLS, BUT WE DIDN'T KNOW.

BUT I TRULY SAW ALL THE TALENT IN THE KIDS, FROM THE SINGING TO THE DANCING.

I WAS REALLY AMAZED BY IT SINCE I WAS LIKE, WE NORMALLY DON'T HEAR THESE VOICES THROUGHOUT THE DISTRICT AND WE NORMALLY FOCUS ON THE SPORTS, BUT IT WAS REALLY, REALLY NICE TO SEE ALL THESE CHILDREN, LIKE, WHO HAVE PRACTICED, PUT THEIR HARD TIME INTO THE SINGING, THE DANCING, WHAT THEY'RE GOING TO DO. ANOTHER THING IS THAT 59% OF OUR 76 SENIORS ARE ON TRACK TO EARN THEIR ASSOCIATE'S DEGREE FROM TCC.

I BELIEVE IN MAY AND THEN OUR ALSO WITH OUR CCA SENIORS, THEY HAVE RAISED OVER $68 MILLION IN SCHOLARSHIPS.

THESE ARE DISTRICTS WE NEED TO BENCHMARK, BENCHMARK OURSELVES AGAINST.

WE THEN REVIEWED THE RATE OF GROWTH AND THE RATE OF CHANGE OF EACH DISTRICT OVER THE LAST 5 TO 7 YEARS, AND WE TOOK THE RATE OF GROWTH AND CHANGE FROM THAT DISTRICT, FROM THE TOP PERFORMING DISTRICT OVER THE LAST FIVE YEARS.

AND WE ACTUALLY FORECAST FOR THE NEXT FIVE. AND SO WE IDENTIFIED THE AREA OR THE RATE WHERE THAT THE TOP PERFORMING DISTRICT WOULD BE IN 2030 IF THEY CONTINUE TO GROW AT THE RATE THAT THEY GREW BEFORE.

WE THEN LOOKED AT OUR GROWTH RATE AND WE HAD, WE FIGURED OUT WHAT OUR GROWTH RATE WOULD HAVE TO BE IN ORDER FOR US TO BECOME THE TOP PERFORMING DISTRICT IN 2030. AND SO WE HAVE BOTH DISTRICT AND CAMPUS TOOLS WHERE WE CAN SEE WHERE STUDENTS ARE AND INTENTIONALLY MEET THEIR NEEDS THROUGH INTERVENTIONS.

EACH CAMPUS HAS CAMPUS PLANS AND CAMPUS ACTION PLANS THAT ARE STUDENT SPECIFIC AND YOU'LL SEE STUDENT SPECIFIC GOALS.

SO HOW WHAT ARE WE DOING TO ENSURE THAT PARENTS UNDERSTAND AND STUDENTS UNDERSTAND THAT IT'S SO IMPORTANT TO DO YOUR BEST ON THESE TESTS AND NOT JUST SAY, OH, IT'S JUST BENCHMARK. I LIKE THAT REFLECTION.

YOU KNOW, I KNOW CAMPUSES THERE'S THEY HAVE INCENTIVES, YOU KNOW, FOR COMING TO SCHOOL ON THOSE DAYS FOR GIVING YOUR BEST EFFORT.

AND THAT HAS HAPPENED. IT LEADS ME TO AN OPPORTUNITY THAT WE HAVE AS A DISTRICT TO POUR INTO THAT AS WELL.

AND THEN SHE WAS LIKE, OH, OKAY. SO THAT KIND OF FIXED OUR PROBLEM.

BUT DEFINITELY, A GOOD POINT THAT WE DEFINITELY NEED TO FIGURE OUT HOW TO INCENTIVIZE IT.

IT WAS LIKE LITTLE BOOT CAMP WORKSHOPS, I WOULD ASSUME.

AND THEY KIND OF WORKED ON DEVELOPING THOSE SKILLS TO HELP PUSH STUDENTS TO DO THEIR VERY BEST ON BENCHMARKS AND STAAR TESTS AND THINGS OF THAT NATURE.

SO THAT WILL BE ALL STUDENTS PRE-K TO 12. SO WE'RE ABLE TO TRACK NOT JUST STAAR DATA BUT ALSO LOOK AT THOSE SYSTEMS ALIGNED WITH OUR EARLIEST LEARNERS ALL THE WAY UP. IN JUNE, WE WILL BEGIN TO RECEIVE INDIVIDUAL STAAR RESULTS FOR STUDENTS.

AND THOSE ARE ALL PRELIMINARY THAT DO COME OUT AND THAT STUDENT RESULTS IN JUNE.

AND THEN BY AUGUST, WE SHOULD HAVE PRELIMINARY DISTRICT ACCOUNTABILITY AND CAMPUS RESULTS AND READINGS.

SO THAT IS UPCOMING. WHEN IT COMES TO TESTING, IF WE GO BACK TO THAT MISSION CONTROL ANALOGY, YOU HAVE NOW SEEN THE SYSTEMS LEVEL VIEW. WE'RE NOW GOING TO ZOOM IN AND YOU'LL HEAR DIRECTLY FROM CONTENT TEAMS.
